At National Geographic, I am often asked to research and design medium-complexity maps and graphics in a short time frame. This involves getting info from experts as well as creating both desktop and mobile optimized designs. The first shown here is based on a report from the Union of Concerned Scientists about increasing temperatures in the U.S. The second is a story with two graphics about the illegal trafficking of turtle and tortoises with data from the Wildlife Justice Commission, which was done in just under a week.
